The nitty gritty
Chelsea writes novels and short fiction set in near-future Australia. Her stories are twisty, heartfelt, and sometimes unsettling. As an undiagnosed autistic and ADHD child, books were Chelsea’s safe place to escape and a source of pure delight. Now she wants to give that same experience to her readers: the feeling of being entirely captivated, and hoping the story will never end.
In 2024, Chelsea was awarded a scholarship to Australia’s Faber Academy, where she studied under the mentorship of Kaaron Warren and J.S.Bruekelaar while writing THE WAY OF THE LIGHT. She was previously a freelance grant writer, and has also worked in cross-cultural community development. She lives on the Sunshine Coast in Queensland with her husband and two fiery young girls.

She grew up by the ocean and has been surfing all her life.
As an AuDHD writer, Chelsea is passionate about positive and realistic representation of neurodivergence in literature.
